Religion Activities
 

The following are activities or projects that provide witness to Christ's call to serve others.

 

Holy Childhood Association Activities include:

  • Advent collection

  • Counting mission money for the school

  • Daily petitions for less fortunate

  • National Week of Prayer

  • Prayers for our special country

  • Reading and discussing the quarterly magazine that featured special country

  • Reading or singing Holy Childhood Prayer

  • Relating Bible studies to Holy Childhood Association

 

Miscellaneous Activities include:

  • Adoration servers

  • Assisting with supply and uniform sale

  • Assisting buddies with various activities

  • Babysitting during Mass

  • Bake sale for the needy

  • Bringing in Christmas gifts for the poor of Southern Ohio

  • Choir

  • Collecting 7,000 books for schools affected by Hurricane Katrina

  • Collecting hats and mittens for the Christ Child Society

  • Collecting items for the needy during Lent

  • Collecting pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House Foundation

  • Collecting Soup Labels

  • Creating cards for children in hospitals, to be placed in Easter Baskets, Elderly, Parishioners who are ill, Nursing home patients, Sympathy, and in Thanksgiving

  • Creating prayers for 2nd grade buddies making First Communion

  • Dressing casually to donate money for schools affected by Hurricane Katrina

  • Fish Fry volunteers- helping the Knights of Columbus

  • Gathering trash around school

  • Bringing in Halloween candy for Homeless Families Foundation and St. Vincent DePaul

  • Helping with the parish festival

  • Lent- giving up snacks and donating money to Operation Rice Bowl

  • Operation Christmas Child- donating shoeboxes filled with basic items for impoverished children throughout the world

  • Participating in grade level service projects to benefit Sisters of St. Francis Mission

  • Participating in conflict management programs

  • Performing at the volunteer luncheon

  • Reading and planning mass

  • Recycling paper to benefit the Chiapas mission

  • Recycling various materials

  • Selling pins for Homeless Families Foundation during Secret Santa

  • Spiritual gift to KK during Advent

  • Sucker sales for schools affected by Hurricane Katrina

  • Thanksgiving and Christmas prayer services
