Awards & Honors

 The primary students, as well as the middle and junior high students have an awards presentation at the end of each quarter. This presentation is in the gymnasium. The names of those children receiving awards will be read and recognition will be given.

Primary Grades Awards and Honors
Grades 1-3

The homeroom teacher will select one certificate for each student.  This certificate will be presented at the recognition ceremony at the end of the quarter. 

THE CARING CHRISTIAN AWARD
To be eligible for this award the student must have an A or B+ in Religion for the quarter and display a strong Christian attitude. The student must be kind, helpful, share with others, be accepting of others, and responsible for his  or her own actions.

THE GREAT GRADES AWARD
This award will be given in a specific subject. To be eligible for this award, the student must have an A in the subject for the quarter.

THE IMPRESSIVE IMPROVEMENT AWARD.
This award may be given for academic improvement if the student raises his or her grade in a specific subject one grade, or for improvement in behavior by going from an “N” to an “I” or from an “I” to a “+.”

THE SUPER STUDENT AWARD
To be eligible for this award, the student must have all A’s and all 1’s in effort (excluding handwriting).

THE BEST BEHAVIOR AWARD
A student may receive this award if his/her name has not been on the board for the quarter.  

 


Awards and Honors
Grades 4-8

 

RELIGION AWARD
The top five students in each homeroom are eligible for this award.

EXCELLENCE AWARD
To be eligible for this award, the student must have all check+'s and +'s in all subjects for the quarter.
 

SUMMIT SEEKER AWARD
To be eligible for this award, the student must have had no name on the board or scribe and no more than one missing homework for the quarter.

 

TOP TEN AWARD
A list will be developed to recognize the top ten seventh and the top ten eighth graders in the subject areas of Religion, Science, English, Math, and Social Studies.
