Communications
Communication Folders
Communication folders containing timely information are sent home every
Wednesday with the youngest/only students (grade 1 to 8) in the family. In
addition, the St. Michael Newsletter is included in this folder on the first
Wednesday of each month.
Conferences
1. Conferences are
held twice each year. At other times, either teachers or parents may initiate a
conference.
2. Parents may contact the school office at any time and request a teacher to
return a call after school hours.
3. Please feel free to contact
the Principal at any time. If the Principal is not available at that moment,
leave a
message, and the call will be returned as soon as possible.
Emergency
Information
Closings
Parents will be notified through the homeroom mothers should the school
have to close for any emergency-related condition. Please show courtesy to these
mothers who have volunteered their time to notify you. Radio (610 WTVN) and TV
stations will also be notified. Please tune in starting
at 6:00 A.M. A reasonable effort will be made to contact the parents for
emergency closings during school hours.
The principal uses an
e-mail notification system for those parents who sign up for it.

What is the National School Alert Network?
NSA is an emergency
communications network designed to provide schools with the ability to instantly
contact parents/guardians in the event of an emergency through email, text
messaging and automated phone calls. NSA has the ability to send out thousands
of calls per minute. NSA is a web-based application that does not require
special equipment, additional phone lines and can be accessed from anywhere that
has an internet connection or a telephone.
