Enrichment Program
All children are bestowed
gifts by our Heavenly Father.
All are gifted by Him!

Who
Qualifies?
All
students at Saint Michael School are eligible to participate in enrichment
activities.
Students may sign themselves up for the program. Teachers and parents may also
sign children up for the program.
Saint Michael School has provided this program for its students for over 19
years. The program has expanded to the current full-time enrichment program.
Types of Projects

Type I
Type I activities include Artists in the Schools activities and other
multi-grade big group activities. All
students grades K-8 attend several of these activities throughout the year.

Type II
Type II groups meet in the enrichment room and cover topics that students
find interesting. Students may be inspired by Type I activities and choose
to study the topic as a follow-up.

Type III
Type III projects are longer in nature. They may consist of research or
large projects that require community input, etc. These groups will meet in
the fall and the spring. Groups will last for up to one hour and meet once
a week.
Kindergarten
Kindergarten participate in Enrichment activities once a week to share a literature based
projects.
Two whole class activities are provided.
Primary
Primary students participate in small groups meet once a week for thirty
minutes. These groups complete their project in 5 to 6 weeks. Each grade
level will work on whole class activities, too!
Intermediate
Intermediate students work on whole class projects and in small groups
with Type II or Type III activities. There are extracurricular activities
available for these students.
Junior High
Junior High students
participate in many extracurricular activities. A list of some of these
opportunities can be found in the extracurricular section of this site.
All
of our junior high students write an oratorical speech based on the Optimist
Club’s yearly theme. The seventh grade students write a historical paper based
on the National History Day theme. Our students participate in a career unit
culminating with a Career Day. They also participate in the Geography Bee.
Eligible students take a high school Algebra class.
