1. Proper respect is to be given to all
teachers, office and library personnel, cafeteria personnel, maintenance
staff, and visitors.
2. Students are to be considerate of one
another. This occurs not only on the playground by playing appropriately and
in the appropriate areas but also in the hallways at the change of class by
not disturbing classes with loud talking or noise.
3. When coming to and from school, students
are expected to use only driveways and sidewalks. Students are not to cut
across lawns.
4. Proper care must be given to all property
and equipment. If anything is broken or lost, it must be reported to the
principal.
5. All medication will be sent to, and
dispensed only by, the school nurse or designee in the office.
6. St. Michael School will follow the Diocesan
policies regarding use of narcotics and alcohol. Copies are available in the
office.
7. Attendance and promptness at school and
class are expected.
8. Proper school uniform must be worn unless
explained by a parental note.
9. Students arriving before 7:35 A.M. and
remaining after 3:15 P.M. will be unsupervised. School doors will open for
students at 7:45 A.M. and close at 3:15 P.M.
10. Chewing gum in school and on school grounds
is not permitted!
Consequences for chewing gum:
First Offense - $10.00 fine
Second Offense - $15.00 fine
Third Offense - $20.00 fine and parent conference.
All fines are donated to the missions.
11. Electronic devices are not permitted (i.e.
pagers, cell phones, "Game Boys", CD players, radios, etc.).
1. In
classroom - name recorded.
2. Out-of-classroom - pink slip.
3. School nurse will phone parents if student
fails to follow General Rule #5.
4. Parents will be called if student is
truant.
5. Students may be sent home to change to
proper uniform.
