Homework
Time allotments for the various grade levels are not specified because of consideration for individual ability and rate of performance. Parents who are concerned about too much or too little homework should contact the teacher(s) involved. Homework is:
Projects connected with subject being studied.
Reading a good book or magazine that is recreational
and informative.
Studying... not all homework is written.
not a substitute for classroom teaching, but it is a
supplement, a complement, and a reinforcement of classroom teaching and
learning.
to aid students in developing the ability to work
independently, to enable the slower student to practice basic skills
initiated in the classroom, and to provide the advanced student an
opportunity for challenging study.
