St. Michael School Spring Book Fair

Posted on: March 26th, 2013 | School News

Buy One, Get One (BOGO) Free!

Just books – Several paperbacks

Goal:  To Promote Summer Reading!

The St. Michael School Library will be offering a Spring Book Fair to students the week of April 22.  Students will attend the Fair either during their regularly scheduled library class times or during time slots chosen by teachers.  The Fair will also be open each morning from 8 to 8:30 AM and during lunch/recess times.  Students will have the opportunity to stock up on books for summer reading!!!  Please note:  This is not a fund raiser.

It is extremely helpful if the younger students come to the fair with either a list of titles or a note that informs library volunteers of how much money the child is to spend or which types of items the child should spend their money on.  Flyers are being sent home in this month’s communication folders.  Also, parents are welcome to attend the book fair at anytime, including the time your child will be attending.  That way you and your child can shop together!

Suggestions to make the book fair less overwhelming and an enjoyable experience:

  • Read through the Book Fair flyer ahead of time and make suggestions.
  • Write down the book titles you have helped your child select – either on a piece of paper or on the order form on the back page of the flyer.
  • Write your child’s name, classroom teacher and the amount of money enclosed on the outside of an envelope.  Put the order form and money inside the envelope.

Students can pay for books with cash or checks made out to “St. Michael School Library.”  We will treat checks as cash and return change for the unused amount.  We can also fill in an exact amount spent if you choose to leave your check blank.  Feel free to send a note regarding how much spending your child should not exceed!

Parents can pay for books with cash, checks, or credit cards.  I hope you and your children enjoy our Spring Book Fair!
