Notification Program
We implemented a
program a two years ago called the “St.
Michael Notification Program”.
This program was designed to provide you with immediate email notification
of ‘urgent’ information (i.e. sexual predator alerts, police safety alerts,
etc.), in addition to pertinent ‘general’ information via email. This
communication via email would be in
addition to the normal channels of
communication (i.e. letters, phone calls, etc.). Based on last year’s
participation and overall success of the program, we are happy to announce
that we plan to continue and expand the usage of this program for the
2007-2008 school year.
If you participated in this program
last year, you will still have to
reregister for 2007-2008.
We require that you reregister for a couple reasons:
1.
This will allow us to group you
in the appropriate grade (and teacher) that your child will be in during
this school year;
2.
This will allows us to use for
the notification process your most recent email address;
Please follow the 2007-2008
registration instructions immediately below:
In order to participate in this program,
you will need to register (“subscribe”).
If you have two children in two classes, you
will need to subscribe twice to the program (one for each class or “group”).
You may register as many email addresses as you wish, including both home
and work (but remember to register to each class or “group” for each child).
This is how you register:
1.
Send an email to:
stmichael-notification@cdeducation.org
2.
In the
subject line type
in:
subscribe
and then your class or group – leaving a space between the word subscribe
and your class or group (so if I have a child in
Mrs. Cottrell’s first grade – my subject line
would look like:
Subscribe
1C
3.
Send the email.
If you registered correctly, you will receive a
“Welcome” email within
two “school” days.
If you do not receive this “Welcome,” you will
need to register
again due to an error in registering.
The following groups (classes) will
be used when registering:

Mr. Kendrach
|
5D
Mrs. Doepker

I
will send an email to the email address mentioned above and in the subject
line I will type in the subject line:
subscribe 7B (the
word subscribe – a space – and then the group).
I will send that email.
I will send
another email to the email address mentioned
above and in that subject line I will type in the subject line:
subscribe 3J
If after a period of time, you would
like to unsubscribe or remove yourself from the
St. Michael Notification
Program, all you will need to do is to send an email to:
stmichael-notification@cdeducation.org
and in the subject line type in: Unsubscribe. Once you send this email, you
will be removed from all registered classes or groups and will receive
notification that you have been removed from those classes or groups.
This is a great opportunity for you
to receive information quickly!
If you have any questions, please do not
hesitate to call (885-3149).
