Service
During the year we undertake many service projects at all grade levels. At St. Michael School we consider it a blessing to be able to help less fortunate members of our community in various ways. Some of the projects in which we participate include:
- Serving at Adoration
- Assisting with supply and uniform sales
- Assisting buddies with various activities
- Babysitting during Mass
- Baking for sales for the needy
- Collecting hats and mittens for the Christ Child Society
- Collecting items for the needy during Lent
- Collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House Foundation
- Collecting soup labels
- Creating cards for children in hospitals and in Easter Baskets for the elderly, sick parishioners, nursing home patients
- Helping the Knights of Columbus as Fish Fry volunteers
- Gathering trash around school
- Collecting Halloween candy for the Homeless Families Foundation and St. Vincent DePaul Association
- Helping with the parish festival
- Giving up treats during Lent and donating saved money to Operation Rice Bowl
- Donating shoeboxes filled with basic items for impoverished children throughout the world (Operation Christmas Child)
- Thanksgiving and Christmas prayer services
