Service

During the year we undertake many service projects at all grade levels. At St. Michael School we consider it a blessing to be able to help less fortunate members of our community in various ways. Some of the projects in which we participate include:

  • Serving at Adoration
  • Assisting with supply and uniform sales
  • Assisting buddies with various activities
  • Babysitting during Mass
  • Baking for sales for the needy
  • Collecting hats and mittens for the Christ Child Society
  • Collecting items for the needy during Lent
  • Collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House Foundation
  • Collecting soup labels
  • Creating cards for children in hospitals and in Easter Baskets for the elderly, sick parishioners, nursing home patients
  • Helping the Knights of Columbus as Fish Fry volunteers
  • Gathering trash around school
  • Collecting Halloween candy for the Homeless Families Foundation and St. Vincent DePaul Association
  • Helping with the parish festival
  • Giving up treats during Lent and donating saved money to Operation Rice Bowl
  • Donating shoeboxes filled with basic items for impoverished children throughout the world (Operation Christmas Child)
  • Thanksgiving and Christmas prayer services
