Sacraments are 'power that comes forth' (Lk. 5:17) from the Body of Christ, which is ever-living and life-giving. They are actions of the Holy Spirit at work in His Body, the Church. They are the 'masterworks of God' in the new and everlasting covenant.

Sacramental Life

The sacramental life is crucial for developing and increasing the life of faith and union with God that is the goal of the Christian life.  In bequeathing the sacraments to His Bride the Church, Jesus gave us the means to achieve real contact with His saving humanity, so that by means of His Body He could impart to us His own divine life.  The sacraments are precious gifts that we strive to ensure are never taken for granted.

The Holy Eucharist
Active and conscious participation in the Eucharistic Sacrifice is of vital importance for the school, as it is for the whole Church.  All-school liturgies are celebrated on the First Friday of each month at 8:15 AM.  Students also have the opportunity to participate in Benediction following the Mass.

The children also attend class Mass on a weekly basis at 8:15 AM according to the following schedule:

First, Second, and Third GradeWednesday
Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth GradeThursday
Seventh and Eighth GradeFriday

Penance Services are scheduled at various times during the school year.  Students in grades 3-8 receive the sacrament during Advent and grades 2-8 during Lent.

Parents are encouraged to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation with their children regularly so that they may benefit from good example in the home as well as at school.

Daily prayers

Each morning at 8:15 AM we pray the Morning Offering together as a school.   The school day is concluded at 2:35 PM with the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel, patron of our school.

Morning Offering
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer Thee my prayers, works, and sufferings of this day
for all the intentions of Thy sacred Heart,
in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world,
in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all our associates,
and in particular for the intention recommended by the Holy Father for this month.

St. Michael Prayer
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the Power of God,
cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world for the ruin of souls.
