Welcome to St. Michael School!
St. Michael is a private parochial school located in Worthington, Ohio. Established in 1954, St. Michael School is still committed to providing Catholic education that honors and promotes the dignity of each student as a precious human person, created in God’s image for the purpose of obtaining eternal life with Him in heaven. As Catholic educators we share in the mission of the universal Church and work to provide an integral formation that addresses not only academics but the spiritual growth and development of each child.
Our faculty consists of nineteen homeroom teachers, classroom aides in grades K-3, and specialists in Spanish, library, technology, physical education, music, art, and band. Support staff include a school counselor, academic assistant, nurse, reading specialist, school psychologist, and speech and language pathologist. Their services are available based on the individualized needs of students.
Currently we teach over 500 students in grades K through 8. St. Michael School offers two full day and one half day Kindergarten classes. The maximum class size for each of the kindergarten classes is twenty-five students. Currently we have two classes each of grades 1-8, with a maximum class size of thirty-five students.
St. Michael students have access to about one hundred and fifty desktop workstations through our classroom computers and two computer lab classrooms. In addition, there are two mobile computer labs consisting of seventy laptops connected on a wireless network. Twenty-five of the classrooms have mounted SMART Board interactive whiteboards and data projectors. Click here for more information on how technology is used at St. Michael School.
St. Michael School Library is home to more than 10,000 books where students are able to use a self-checkout system. Students also have computer access to the Destiny online catalog.
A new program started in the 2011-2012 school year is the school-aged child care (SACC) program. Children attending St. Michael Kindergarten through 8 may participate in this after school care program.
